The Bruins are reportedly one of the clubs in the mix for this Senators defenseman.

The Boston Bruins are entering the summer with some questions about their blueline. Matt Grzelcyk, Derek Forbort, and Kevin Shattenkirk are all UFAs, and signs point to them not returning. As a result, the Bruins should look to add to their defense this offseason.
The Bruins are expected to focus on their left side. With Grzelcyk and Forbort likely to walk, they would benefit from adding another left-shot defender to their roster. According to The Fourth Period, the Bruins are one of the teams currently linked to Ottawa Senators star defenseman Jakob Chychrun.

There has been some chatter about the prospect of the Bruins targeting Chychrun this offseason. With the Senators needing a goalie, Linus Ullmark has been connected to them. Thus, the Bruins and Senators could make sense as trading partners.
If the Bruins acquired Chychrun, he would be an obvious pick for their top pairing with Charlie McAvoy. However, he also would be an option for their second pairing with Brandon Carlo. In either scenario, the Bruins' top four would improve significantly with Chychrun added. He would also work on their special-team units because of his steady all-around play.
Chychrun, 26, carries a $4.6 million cap hit until the end of next season. With the Bruins having plenty of cap space to work with, they could easily afford his reasonable deal.
In 82 games this past season with the Senators, Chychrun posted 14 goals, 41 points, and 72 hits.
