With the trade deadline almost here, the Bruins are being connected to a notable Ducks trade target.

The 2024 NHL Trade Deadline is one week away, so naturally, trade talk around the league is picking up. The Boston Bruins are certainly creating some buzz. While they are one of the top teams in the NHL standings, they have run into some serious trouble as of late, winning just three out of their last 10 games. As a result, there's naturally been speculation over the prospect of them making additions to their group.

It appears that the Bruins have one of the NHL's top trade targets on their radar, too. According to The Fourth Period's latest Trade Watch List, the Bruins are now one of the many teams reportedly linked to Anaheim Ducks forward Adam Henrique. The other clubs that TFP reports are interested in Henrique include the Colorado Avalanche, Carolina Hurricanes, New Jersey Devils, New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, and New York Islanders.

Henrique, 34, is quietly having an excellent season, so it's understandable that he's generating plenty of interest as a rental candidate. In 57 games played, he has 16 goals and 38 points. That's strong production from a middle-six forward and precisely the kind of player that Boston could use right now.

When looking at a possible fit for Henrique in the Bruins' lineup, he could slot in nicely as the club's third-line center. However, he also can play on the wing, so that could make him a fit in their top six, too. With that, his steady two-way game would make him an option for both of their special-team units.

With the Bruins having limited cap space, they would need to get creative to fit Henrique in. However, when noting that he would give their offense a big boost and provide them with more leadership, it is undoubtedly an avenue worth going down.
