The Boston Bruins are set to face off against the Chicago Blackhawks on April 10 at TD Garden. After losing 6-3 to the Buffalo Sabres in their last game, the Bruins will look to bounce back and get a victory against Chicago.
However, there is a chance that the Bruins will be without one of their top defensemen. While speaking to reporters, interim head coach Joe Sacco shared that blueliner Nikita Zadorov is questionable for the team's matchup against Chicago due to a family matter.
Sacco also added that defenseman Ian Mitchell would be Zadorov's replacement in the lineup if he is not good to go.
Zadorov, 29, has appeared in 78 games this season with the Bruins, where he has four goals, 15 assists, 19 points, and 210 hits. He also leads the team with a plus-21 rating and 139 penalty minutes.
If Zadorov ends up not being able to play, the Bruins will undoubtedly be forced to make some adjustments. The 2013 first-round pick is one of their most important blueliners, after all.
