Brad Marchand tied an NHL record in the club's loss to the Kraken.

The Boston Bruins suffered an ugly 5-1 loss to the Seattle Kraken on Thursday night (Dec. 12). This was certainly not the response they wanted after losing to the Winnipeg Jets 8-1 in their previous game.

Bruins forward Brad Marchand scored the Bruins' only goal on a penalty shot in the loss and made some NHL history in the process.

According to NHL Public Relations, this was Marchand's seventh career penalty-shot goal. With this, he has tied Pavel Bure for the most penalty-shot goals in NHL history. He also passed NHL legend Mario Lemieux on the list.

Marchand clearly knows how to score on the penalty shot and has tied a record because of it. He now has 12 goals and 23 points in 31 games this season.
