The Boston Bruins will be getting a massive boost for this Jan. 30 contest against the Winnipeg Jets.
While speaking to reporters, Bruins head coach Joe Sacco confirmed that star defenseman Charlie McAvoy will be back in the lineup against the Jets. In addition, the team announced that No. 73 has been activated off injured reserve.
McAvoy, 27, missed each of the Bruins' last seven games due to injury. There is no question that they have missed him, as he is their No. 1 defenseman and plays in all situations. Now, the Bruins' blueline is getting its star back against a very good Jets club.

McAvoy has appeared in 45 games this season for the Bruins, posting five goals, 20 points, 77 blocks, and 86 hits. We will need to wait and see how much of an impact he can make now that he is healthy from here.
