The Boston Bruins could look to the Los Angeles Kings for forward help.

The Boston Bruins have brought in plenty of talent this offseason. Some of their new additions include Elias Lindholm, Nikita Zadorov, Max Jones, Joonas Korpisalo, and Mark Kastelic.

While the Bruins have been active, it is also clear that they may benefit by adding another winger before the start of the season. They lost several wingers from last season's roster this summer, including Jake DeBrusk, Danton Heinen, James van Riemsdyk, and Pat Maroon. While they have some youngsters who should make cases for NHL spots, it would also not be too shocking if the Bruins browsed the trade market for potential bargain players as well.

Due to their need for more depth on the wing, one trade candidate who could be an interesting target for the Bruins is Los Angeles Kings forward Arthur Kaliyev.

    Arthur Kaliyev

Kaliyev, 23, requested a trade from the Kings but has yet to be moved. However, given his disgruntlement and his drop on the Kings; depth chart last season, they are expected to be open to moving him.

Kaliyev had a down year for the Kings in 2023-24, posting seven goals and 15 points in 51 games. Yet, given that Kaliyev is just 23 years old and has had past NHL success, he is the kind of player the Bruins should consider taking a flier on.

Back during the 2022-23 season, Kaliyev recorded 13 goals and 28 points in 56 games with the Kings. If he could get back to these numbers or even take another step forward with his offensive play, the 6-foot-2 forward would be a fine addition to the Bruins' middle six.

Even after a shaky season, there is reason to believe that Kaliyev could get his career back on track with a change of scenery. The Bruins are known for helping players hit new levels, so perhaps they could be a good match for Kaliyev.
