The Boston Bruins have selected forward Cooper Simpson with the 79th overall pick of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

With this selection, the Bruins have added a very fascinating sniper to their prospect pool. The 18-year-old winger dominated with Shakopee High School in Minnesota this season, as he posted 49 goals and 83 points in 31 games. His 49 goals were also the most out of all Minnesota high school players.

Simpson also showed off his great shot with the Tri-City Storm of the USHL this season, as he had seven goals and an assist in nine games.

Simpson will be a project for the Bruins, but it is hard not to feel optimistic about his future. The 6-foot-1 winger has plenty of skill.
