This was a cool moment for Bruins fans to watch.
For Feb. 17's matchup between Team Canada and Team Finland, Boston Bruins legendary goalie Tuukka Rask joined the TNT panel, and he helped provide a great moment for fans of the Original Six club.
Rask surprised former Bruins teammate and Canada forward Brad Marchand with a pregame interview.
TNT's Liam McHugh shared with Marchand that Rask was a part of the panel, immediately making No. 63 chuckle.
"What's up, Brad? What a pleasant surprise," Rask said to Marchand. Marchand then called Rask, interviewing him "a treat."
Once they got their intros out of the way, Rask asked Marchand what kind of leadership role he has taken on while with Team Canada.
"I have a question for you," Rask said. "You're a leader with your own team. You're one of the older guys in that locker room. What kind of role did you take this year in this tournament? Are you more like a pom poms out cheerleading or are you mentoring the younger guys?"
Marchand then gave a lengthy answer to Rask's question.
"Watch it," Marchand joked. "Yeah, a little bit of everything, bud. You know how it goes when you're the older guy. You try to keep it light. I think we got a great group. It's a lot of fun being in there. We're just trying to keep the energy high, and you feed off a lot of these guys. Everybody's so excited to be here, and there's so much energy in the room. We've all pretty much played together at some point, so we all have some kind of relationship, which makes it easier, too."
This was a great interview between two longtime Bruins teammates. It is awesome to see Rask getting more into the media field now. Here's to hoping these two can have more interviews in the future.
