This team is officially out of the Linus Ullmark sweepstakes.

A big trade occurred in the NHL on Wednesday, and it certainly impacted the Boston Bruins. The New Jersey Devils have added their much-needed starting goalie, acquiring Jacob Markstrom from the Calgary Flames in exchange for defenseman Kevin Bahl and a 2025 first-round pick.
The Devils were one of the top suitors for Bruins star goalie Linus Ullmark. Yet, we can now forget about a potential Ullmark trade with the Devils, as they have gotten their big upgrade in the net.

While the Devils are out of the Ullmark sweepstakes, several teams are still in the mix. Clubs like the Carolina Hurricanes, Ottawa Senators, Buffalo Sabres, and Los Angeles Kings have been rumored to be interested in Ullmark. However, the Devils stood out as a prime potential landing spot for Ullmark, as their need for a goalie was incredibly high.
Yet, with Markstrom off the board, this could lead to teams making a more significant push to land Ullmark. He is now undoubtedly the top goalie on the market, and it will be intriguing to see if the Bruins end up moving him soon from here.
