Boston Bruins prospect Michael DiPietro simply dominated with the Providence Bruins this regular-season. In 40 games with the AHL squad on the year, he posted a 26-8-5 record, a .927 save percentage, a 2.05 goals-against average, and four shutouts.

Due to his incredible play this regular-season, DiPietro has now been rewarded big time. The AHL has announced that DiPietro is the winner of the Aldege “Baz” Bastien Memorial Award, which is given to the AHL's most outstanding goaltender each season.

Seeing DiPietro receive this award is not surprising in the slightest, as he was excellent all season for Providence. He took a major step forward in his game during the 2024-25 campaign and was a significant reason for Providence's regular-season success.

DiPietro is one of the Bruins' several pending unrestricted free agents heading into the summer. However, with how well he has played this season down in Providence, they should work hard to keep him around.
