The Bruins have placed this defenseman on waivers.

The Boston Bruins have made a roster move, placing defenseman Alec Regula on waivers. 

Regula has been out since the start of the season due to injury. However, this waiver placement indicates that the 6-foot-4 defenseman is ready to return to action.

However, before Regula can rejoin the Providence Bruins, he will need to clear waivers. Given the fact that he is a big and young right-shot defenseman, the possibility of him being claimed by another club should not be ruled out. 

Regula, 24, had a strong season with Providence in 2023-24. In 55 games, he had four goals, 26 points, and an AHL-best plus-36 rating. 

We will need to wait and see if Regula clears waivers from here. If he does, he will provide Providence with a real boost on their blueline.
