The Bruins have an interesting trade target to consider from the Senators.

The Boston Bruins desperately need more scoring right now. At this point of the season, they have an 11-11-3 record to go along with a disastrous minus-19 goal differential.

Given how underwhelming their season has been thus far, they have been one of the more talked about teams in the rumor mill. When looking at potential trade targets around the league, Ottawa Senators forward Adam Gaudette is an intriguing option.

Gaudette, 28, has been a big surprise this season with the Senators. In 22 games, the Braintree, Massachusetts native has 12 goals, one assist, and a plus-3 rating. He is also not slowing down in the slightest, as he has five goals over his last five games.

    Adam Gaudette

Gaudette signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Senators this past off-season, so it is fair to say that he has been a real steal for them. However, with the Senators trending in the wrong direction, Gaudette could become a nice trade chip for them if they can't turn their season around.

If the Bruins acquired Gaudette, he would provide them with another solid option for their middle six and power play. Furthermore, he has more goals than every Bruins player so far this season, including David Pastrnak (eight) and Brad Marchand (eight). Thus, he could be a nice low-risk, high-reward player for the Bruins to bring in.
