A former fan favorite is heading back to Boston.

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Boston Bruins are signing forward Sean Kuraly to a two-year contract, where he will have a $1.85 million average annual value.

Kuraly spent the first five seasons of his NHL career with the Bruins from 2016-17 to 2020-21. In 270 games over that span with the Original Six club, he posted 24 goals, 44 assists, 68 points, and 525 hits.

With this move, Kuraly will once again be a solid part of the Bruins' bottom six and penalty kill. In 82 games this past season with the Columbus Blue Jackets, he recorded six goals, 17 points, 163 hits, and a minus-4 rating.
