The Boston Bruins are adding to their defensive depth.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Bruins are signing defenseman Jordan Harris. At this juncture, the details of the deal have not been announced.
Harris posted one goal, five points, 23 hits, and a minus-1 rating in 33 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets this past season. Before then, he spent each of his first three NHL seasons with the Bruins' No. 1 rival, the Montreal Canadiens.
With this move, Harris will provide the Bruins with another option to consider for their bottom pairing. At a minimum, the Massachusetts native will be a solid seventh defenseman for them, which was a need for them with Parker Wotherspoon leaving the club.
