The Boston Bruins have added to their prospect pool. They have signed defenseman Drew Bavaro to a one-year, entry-level contract that will begin next season.
Bavaro, 23, has also signed an ATO with the Providence Bruins for the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
Bavaro is coming off a strong season with the University of Notre Dame, as he had 10 goals, 20 points, and 38 penalty minutes in 35 games. This came after he had 19 points in 37 games for the school in 2022-23.

Bavaro is also connected to Massachusetts, as he spent his first two college seasons at Bentley University and played his high school hockey at Lawrence Academy.
With this move, the Bruins have added another young right-shot defenseman with promise to their system. It will be intriguing to see how much of an impact he can make while with Providence for the remainder of this season from here.
