The National Hockey League announced today that Boston Bruins forward Pavel Zacha has been named the NHL Third Star of the Month for March.
Zacha led the NHL skaters with 13 goals during the month of March, a month in which the Bruins all-but locked up a playoff spot by going 10-3-3 in the most.
Zacha's just the fourth Bruins player in the past 50 years to outright lead the NHL in goals for a calendar month, per the team.
Of his 13 goals, five came on the man advantage.
The highlight of Zacha's month unquestionably was leading the comeback charge against the Columbus Blue Jackets, including a game-tying goal with just 11 seconds left on the clock.
The Bruins' second line continues to impress, with Viktor Arvidsson netting a hat trick last night in a victory over the Dallas Stars.
Zacha and the Bruins kick off April in Florida, with a game against the Florida Panthers Thursday night.
