The Boston Bruins suffered a 3-2 overtime loss to the Ottawa Senators on Saturday (Nov. 10). One of the most notable takeaways from the matchup was the Bruins' disastrous third period. While they did not allow a goal during the third, they also did not record a single shot.

Following the matchup, Bruins superstar David Pastrnak expressed frustration about the club's third period while speaking to reporters.

Here is what No. 88 said on the matter:

"In the third period, it was right there. Tied hockey game. This is where, you know, we should drive and create offense and keep playing on our toes. I don’t know. We just had nothing, pretty much, in the third. You’re just going up and down the ice instead of trying to hang onto the puck and put it deep and get it on the forecheck and stay strong and create some O-zone time.”

With the game being tied 2-2 in the third period, there is no question that the Bruins had a golden opportunity to win the game. However, their offensive attack went silent at the worst time, and the Senators simply had complete control of the game.

It will be interesting to see how Pastrnak and the Bruins respond from here.
