Boston Bruins forward Trent Frederic called out Matthew Tkachuk after the season opener.

The Boston Bruins undoubtedly started the new season on the wrong foot last night. They fell to the Florida Panthers by a 6-4 final score and gave up four goals in the first period. It was a brutal night for the Bruins, and they will need to bounce back immediately if they hope to have better results from here. 

During the matchup, Trent Frederic received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after dropping the gloves to prepare to fight Florida Panthers Matthew Tkachuk. Tkachuk, on the other hand, did not do the same, so Frederic received a penalty.

Following the game, Frederic blasted Tkachuk for not dropping the gloves because the Panthers star initiated it. 

Here is what Frederic said on the matter: 

"He actually asked me (to fight), and then he didn’t. I didn’t know people did that. I think that’s a little disrespectful to the game."

Don't be surprised if Frederic tries to get Tkachuk to answer the bell when the Bruins face off against the Panthers next on Oct. 14.
