The Boston Bruins hit the ice for practice on Wednesday morning inside Warrior Ice Arena, and with it, forward Matthew Poitras returned to practice after missing out on Tuesday.
Poitras suffered a broken nose in Monday's shootout win against the Vegas Golden Knights after an extremely dirty hit from Vegas forward Braedan Bowman.
Bowman was ejected and received a five-minute major for the hit.
Team reporter Belle Fraser reported that the Bruins had Sean Kuraly take line rushes on the fourth line, while Poitras served as an extra.
Defensively, Frederic Brunet will return to the lineup for the Bruins, as he took rushes on the third pair while Jonathan Aspirot and Connor Clifton served as extras.
The sense is Poitras is a true game-time decision Thursday on the road against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Bruins will not skate Thursday morning, and Head Coach Marco Sturm will meet with the media at approximately 5:40 in Pittsburgh
It's a one-game trip, and the Bruins then have two days off before hosting the Florida Panthers on Sunday afternoon.
