Former Boston Bruins defenseman Paul Coffey appeared on TNT on Friday night and gave his longtime friend Wayne Gretzky a tough time.

Gretzky asked Coffey which of the pair had more blocked shots in their careers. The Hall of Famer defenseman answered by absolutely roasting The Great One.

In response, Coffey said, "Probably you because you gave the puck away more."

Gretzky and the rest of the TNT analysts laughed at Coffey's answer, which is understandable as it was a clever response.

Gretzky and Coffey certainly know each other well, as the two legends dominated together as members of the Edmonton Oilers dynasty. They also reunited together with the Los Angeles Kings, so Coffey spent a lot of time playing with No. 99.

Coffey completed his NHL career as a member of the Bruins during the 2000-01 season. In 18 games with Boston that campaign, the 21-year veteran posted four assists.
