This former Bruins forward could be on the move this season.

Should the Bruins trade for Trevor Zegras?

In his most recent 32 Thoughts column, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman wrote that the Pittsburgh Penguins have informed teams that they are ready to make trades. This is not particularly surprising, as they have struggled out of the gate, which their 6-9-3 record demonstrates.

Friedman named former Boston Bruins forward Noel Acciari as one of the Penguins' top potential trade candidates for this season.

Acciari, 32, should generate plenty of interest around the league. This is because he is a physical forward who can play center and on the wing. In addition, he has plenty of playoff experience and is known for his effective penalty-killing ability. Thus, he could be a big-time target for playoff teams looking to improve their bottom six.

Another appealing aspect about Acciari is that he would be more than a rental for potential suitors. He is signed until the end of the 2025-26 season and has a $2 million cap hit.

Acciari has played in 18 games this season with the Penguins, where he has two goals, five points, and 47 hits.

It will be fascinating to see if the former Bruin is one of the Penguins who gets dealt this season from here. He could be a valuable trade chip for the struggling Penguins.
