This former Bruins goalie is playing marvelously.
During the 2024 NHL off-season, the Boston Bruins broke up their elite goalie tandem and traded Linus Ullmark to the Ottawa Senators. This move was big, as it cemented that Jeremy Swayman would be the Bruins' official No. 1 goalie moving forward.
Ullmark had some major struggles at the start of his Senators tenure. However, he has now broken the ice and is once again looking like the star Bruins fans know he is.
Ullmark has had a .912 save percentage (SV%) or better in five straight starts. He only seems to be getting better during his hot streak, too, as he only has allowed one goal in each of his last three straight starts. This includes saving 31 out of 32 shots he faced against the Anaheim Ducks on Dec. 11.

The Senators acquired Ullmark to finally fix their immense goaltending troubles over the last several years. While Ullmark's start in Ottawa was shaky, he is starting to show them exactly why they made the right call bringing him in.
It will be fascinating to see if Ullmark can keep this spectacular play up from here. When remembering his success as a Bruin, it is certainly fair to argue that he can.
