Former Boston Bruins forward Tyler Seguin has been placed on injured reserve due to a lower-body injury. This IR placement is retroactive to Dec. 1, so Seguin will miss the Dallas Stars' next four games at least.
This is certainly tough news for Seguin, as even with his ongoing injury trouble this season, he has been excellent. In 19 games on the campaign, he has nine goals, 20 points, and a plus-14 rating. In addition, he has not shown any signs of slowing down, posting 10 points over his last 10 contests.

The Bruins selected Seguin with the second overall pick of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. From there, he spent his first three seasons as a Bruin, where he had 56 goals, 121 points, and a plus-53 rating in 19 games. His time with the Bruins ended when he was traded to the Stars after the 2012-13 season.
