Trade talks surrounding Boston Bruins star goalie Linus Ullmark have been picking up rapidly. After Jacob Markstrom and Darcy Kuemper got moved on Wednesday, Ullmark became the top goalie in the market.
Bruce Garrioch reported that the Ottawa Senators have intensified their efforts to acquire Ullmark. It is understandable, as the goalie trade market is rapidly thinning, and free agency does not offer a true No. 1 goalie this year.
Now, we have gotten another intriguing update regarding Ullmark and the Senators. According to David Pagnotta, Ullmark has the Senators on his no-trade list, but two separate sources told him that the star goalie would accept a trade to Ottawa if a deal came to fruition.

Ullmark, 30, would undoubtedly be a big-time addition to a Senators club that desperately needs to improve its goaltending. Senators goalies Joonas Korpisalo and Anton Forsberg each had .890 save percentages this year, while third-stringer Mads Sogard had a .859 SV% in six appearances. Clearly, the Senators need to upgrade between the pipes if they want to take that next step.
It will be intriguing to see if anything happens between the Bruins and Senators from here. The Senators have a great asset in Jakob Chychrun, who the Bruins could use, so perhaps these two clubs could help each other.
