Vinni Lettieri will not be back with the Boston Bruins next season.
According to PuckPedia, Lettieri has signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs for the 2025-26 season.
Lettieri proved to be a solid depth forward for the Bruins during his second stint with the club this past campaign. He made a major impact down in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Providence Bruins, posting 21 goals, 29 assists, and 50 points in 47 games. He also followed that up with three goals and seven points in eight playoff games for Providence.
Due to the Bruins' injury trouble and then trade deadline fire sale, Lettieri also got into a decent amount of contests with the NHL club. In 26 games with Boston during the 2024-25 season, he recorded three goals, five points, 60 hits, and a minus-9 rating.
Given how well Lettieri performed in the AHL with Providence, there was some reason to believe that the Bruins could bring him back. However, that did not come to fruition, and Lettieri is now with the Maple Leafs organization because of it. He should be a solid addition to the Toronto Marlies' roster, but could also make a case to be an extra forward on the Maple Leafs' roster.
In 27 games over two seasons and two stints with the Bruins, Lettieri recorded three goals and two assists.
