The Boston Bruins have been heavily linked to Brock Boeser this off-season, but they officially will not be landing the star winger.

The Vancouver Canucks have announced that they have re-signed Boeser to a seven-year contract with an average annual value of $7.25 million cap hit.

Boeser had hit the market on July 1, and there was still a feeling that he would end up leaving Vancouver. However, he is staying put with the Canucks.

Boeser would have been a major pickup for the Bruins if they landed him, as he would have given them another star winger to work with in their top six. However, the Bruins will need to continue to explore their forward options elsewhere with Boeser signing this big deal to stay in Vancouver.
