Bowen Byram is very impressed with his new star teammate.

The Buffalo Sabres made a massive splash at the deadline when they acquired Bowen Byram from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Casey Mittelstadt. So far, Byram has been a home run of an addition for the Sabres.
Byram, 22, has formed immediate chemistry with Rasmus Dahlin on the club's top pairing, and the superstar defenseman has impressed the Sabres' newest addition.

While speaking to Sabres star center Tage Thompson on the bench, Byram brought up Dahlin's remarkable conditioning, noting that he "never breathes hard." From there, Thompson discussed how Dahlin breezes through the team's bike test at training camp while the rest of the club struggles. That left Byram even more impressed.
There's no question that Dahlin is in excellent shape. As the Sabres' number-one defenseman who plays in all situations, he is averaging 25:46 of ice time this season. Along with that, he has 15 goals and 50 points in 67 games.
Nevertheless, it is always fun to hear mic'd conversations like this. Byram is clearly impressed by Dahlin, and it will be fun to see how the pairing performs together as the season continues.
