Buffalo Sabres superstar Rasmus Dahlin made it clear that he appreciates being the club's new captain.

On Thursday, the Buffalo Sabres named superstar defenseman Rasmus Dahlin their new captain. Given how important of player Dahlin is to the Sabres, he was viewed as the frontrunner to get the 'C.' Now, it has come to fruition, and he will look to lead the Sabres back into playoff contention from here.
When asked by reporters about his reaction to being named captain, Dahlin made it abundantly clear that he appreciates the opportunity immensely:
"It's probably my proudest moment as a hockey player. It means a lot. You know, it's a big responsibility, but I'm ready for it. I'm more than happy.
Clearly, Dahlin takes being named the Sabres' new captain very seriously. Calling it the proudest moment of his hockey career shows how big of a deal it is to the 2018 first-overall pick.
This is an exciting time for the Sabres, and it will be fun to see how the Dahlin leadership era in Buffalo starts from here.
