This former Sabres forward is standing out as a potential trade candidate.
At this juncture of the season, the Chicago Blackhawks have a 6-11-1 record. Seeing them near the bottom of the NHL standings is not too surprising, as they are still rebuilding.
With the Blackhawks struggling, the expectation is that they will be sellers again this season. Because of this, one clear trade candidate on their roster as we get closer to the deadline is former Buffalo Sabres forward Taylor Hall.
Hall is currently in the final season of his contract and is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent next summer. Thus, he could be a prime trade target for teams looking to improve their middle six.
Hall was also recently healthy scratched by the Blackhawks for their matchup against the Vancouver Canucks.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Hall this season. Due to his skill and strong resume, he should generate some interest around the league.
In 17 games this season with the Blackhawks, Hall has two goals and six points. In 37 games as a Sabre during the 2020-21 season, he had two goals and 19 points.
