Sabres Anemic Offensively In Loss To The Blues

Former Buffalo Sabres draft pick and current New Jersey Devils forward Max Willman has been placed on waivers today (Feb. 11). As a result, the rest of the league can now pick him up if they are looking for some forward depth.

Willman, 28, was selected by the Sabres in the fifth round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft at 121st overall. Following a five-year collegiate career split between Brown University and Boston University, the Sabres elected not to sign him to an entry-level contract.

Willman has appeared in 13 games for the Devils this season, where he has one goal, one assist, and a plus-1 rating. Down in the AHL with the Utica Comets, he has been quite impactful, posting nine goals and 16 points in 20 games.
