Could this former Sabre be on the move by the deadline?

With the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline almost here, former Buffalo Sabres goalie Linus Ullmark has been creating some buzz in the rumor mill. With Jeremy Swayman being the club's long-term future between the pipes, there has been speculation over the prospect of the Bruins adding Ullmark to a trade package to improve their roster elsewhere.
On a recent installment of 32 Thoughts: The Podcast, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported that the Bruins are unwilling to move many or all of their prospects who have played at the NHL level this season. From there, he said this about Ullmark: "So, if they want to make changes, it probably has to come off their roster, and that's why people, I think, are looking at (Linus) Ullmark."
Ullmark, 30, would be a notable addition for a team looking to improve their goaltending like the Carolina Hurricanes, New Jersey Devils, or Los Angeles Kings. This is because he is a legitimate star when performing at his best, as evidenced by his remarkable Vezina Trophy campaign in 2022-23.

However, it would also be quite risky for the Bruins to break up their elite goaltending tandem and trade Ullmark. There's always the chance that Swayman could suffer an injury following an Ullmark move, and that would leave Boston in serious trouble. Alas, we will need to wait and see if they move him for immediate help elsewhere from here.
In six seasons with the Sabres, Ullmark had a 50-47-13 record, a .912 SV%, and a 2.78 GAA. Meanwhile, in three seasons as a Bruin thus far, he has an 82-22-9 record, a .924 SV%, and a 2.29 GAA.
