With Jeff Skinner set to be bought out, let's look at three clubs who could target him in free agency.

On Saturday, Buffalo Sabres GM Kevyn Adams announced that the club has initiated the buyout process for Jeff Skinner. As a result, the veteran winger's time with the Sabres is coming to an end.
Skinner, 32, should receive plenty of interest in free agency, as he is still a solid scorer at this point of his career. As a result, let's go over three potential free-agent destinations for him.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are a club to watch in the Skinner sweepstakes. It is certainly possible that Skinner would be interested in playing for the Leafs, as he grew up in the area. In addition, a reason why he signed with the Sabres was to be close to his family.

The Maple Leafs' current roster suggests that they could also consider adding Skinner to their middle six. It is no secret that they could use more depth scoring, and Skinner would give them just that.
The Washington Capitals have already had a busy start to the offseason, adding Pierre-Luc Dubois, Andrew Mangiapane, and Logan Thompson. However, they are far from done making moves, as Capitals GM Brian MacLellan is planning to be aggressive in free agency. With the Capitals needing more scoring, perhaps they could take a flier on Skinner.

When looking at the Capitals' roster, Skinner would have the potential to be a solid fit on their second line. In addition, he would give the Capitals another impactful sniper to have on their power play with Alex Ovechkin.
The New York Islanders also stand out as a potential suitor for Skinner. He would be a notable addition to their top six, as they need some help at the left wing position. He could also thrive playing on a line with Bo Horvat and Mathew Barzal.
Scoring issues have followed the Islanders for quite some time, so bringing a sniper with 30-goal potential like Skinner could intrigue them.
