The Buffalo Sabres are gearing up for what should be a busy trade deadline for them. There are rumblings that they are likely to sell off some of their pending UFAs but also look to add to their roster if it helps them beyond this season.
One Sabre who could sneakily be a popular target on the trade market is captain Kyle Okposo. The veteran winger has an expiring contract and would be a solid addition to a contender looking to add a bit more leadership, secondary scoring, and physicality to their bottom six.

Okposo, 35, is quietly having a solid season for the Sabres, as he has 10 goals, 17 points, 47 hits, and a plus-1 rating in 48 games. Overall, production like that in a bottom-six role could lead to teams calling.
The Fourth Period's Shawn Hutcheon recently reported that the Boston Bruins could have an interest in Okposo. They have been on the hunt for forward depth, and Okposo would give them that.
A few other teams that could use a veteran winger like Okposo in their bottom six include the Tampa Bay Lightning, Colorado Avalanche, New York Rangers, and Los Angeles Kings.
