The Sabres should have this star on their radar this summer.

With the Buffalo Sabres officially out of the playoff race, it is now time to focus on the offseason. The Sabres are going to need to have a big summer, as they took a notable step in the wrong direction this season. They will have cap space to work with and must take advantage of that.
One specific player who they should have on their radar is Detroit Red Wings star forward Patrick Kane. At this juncture, the future Hall of Famer has yet to sign a new deal with Detroit, and there's a chance that he will hit the market this offseason.

If Kane hits the market, now would be time for the Sabres to finally bring the Buffalo native home. There's no question that the Sabres' offense could use a significant boost, and Kane would give them that. The 35-year-old has had a nice bounce-back season with the Red Wings, posting 20 goals and 44 points in 47 games. Clearly, he is still a star.
The Sabres need to make multiple roster upgrades, and adding a scoring winger to their top six is one of them. As a result, if Kane hits the market, Buffalo should make a push for him.
