Sabres Hoping Levi Has Deep Playoff Run In Rochester

The 2023-24 season has been a bit of a rollercoaster for the Buffalo Sabres. In a year where the Sabres were supposed to take that next step and become a playoff team, they have taken a step back, much to the dissatisfaction of their fans.

Because of their tough campaign, the Sabres are expected to be active during the summer. It is not a secret that management wants the club to be competitive in 2024-25. One area that they should look to address is their depth down the middle, and Columbus Blue Jackets captain Boone Jenner should be on their radar because of it.

Jenner was rumored to be connected to the Sabres leading up to the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline, and it made sense. The Sabres desperately need a center who not only produces offensively but is also an experienced leader who plays with an edge. That is something Jenner is, so it would not be shocking if the Sabres had him on their radar this summer.

If the Sabres added Jenner, he would be a big-time answer for their middle six. Along with that, he would work on both of their special team units because of his excellent two-way play.

Let's see if the Sabres try to land him this summer, but it is clear that the fit is there on paper.

His game would come back under coach TM. Under Ruff, some players have taken a step back. I would not give up Danielson, Buchelnikov, Kiiskinen, Augustine, ASP, and Buium.

RWHockey13 I've been keeping tabs on Buchelnikov, and I would agree with you on him. He looks like a gem.

CalebKerney I would hold onto to Kiiskinen. The others are vital as well. Nate will do well, though some look at the lack of goals and assists. It is the guys first year Pro. He is doing fine and will adjust and has been... just saying. Augustine, to me will outshine Cossa. He is more poised and his positioning and rebound control is much better. ASP is obvious. Buium may be better than we know. I would wait on him. And I do not think Buffalo wants D.

Certainly believe he is a gem. The Y should have him over now.
