Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Quinn is a player to watch incredibly closely during the 2024-25 season. This is because the 2020 eighth-overall pick is expected to have a top-six role with the Sabres and be a crucial part of their forward group.

Quinn, 22, dealt with serious injury trouble last season. The skilled winger first had an Achilles' tendon surgery during the 2023 NHL Offseason that made him miss the first 32 games of the 2023-24 campaign. He then suffered another long-term lower-body injury that sidelined him for all of February and a significant chunk of March.

While Quinn missed a massive portion of last season, he was still excellent when healthy. In 27 games, the 6-foot-1 forward had nine goals and 19 points. His goal in 2024-25 will be to stay healthy and build off his solid campaign. When noting that he is a very skilled player with high potential, it is hard not to feel optimistic about his chances of doing so.

When looking at how well Quinn performed last season, even with all of the injury trouble, it is impossible not to view him as a prime breakout candidate for the Sabres this upcoming season. As noted above, he is projected to have a significant role with the Sabres, so he should receive plenty of opportunities to succeed.

It will be fascinating to see what kind of season Quinn has in 2024-25 from here. If he stays healthy and takes that next step, he will cement himself as a significant piece of Buffalo's roster moving forward.
