The Buffalo Sabres have re-signed forward Peyton Krebs to a two-year, $2.9 million contract.
Krebs, 23, was the Sabres' last remaining restricted free agent. However, they got him signed to his new contract right before the start of training camp. He is entering a critical training camp, as he will need to impress to earn a spot in Buffalo's bottom six.
Krebs appeared in 80 games last season with the Sabres, posting four goals, 17 points, 67 penalty minutes, and 108 hits.
The 2019 first-round pick will now look to take that next step offensively after landing this new two-year contract.
