Teams have reportedly called the Sabres about one of their star forwards.

The 2024 NHL Trade Deadline is just around the corner, and there has been a lot of chatter in the rumor mill because of it. The Buffalo Sabres have been picking up some steam in it as of late, and now a new Sabre has generated trade interest – Alex Tuch.
On the latest 32 Thoughts: The Podcast episode, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman had this to say about Tuch: "I think some teams asked Buffalo about Alex Tuch, and Buffalo said 'we’re not doing that.'"

Hearing that teams have expressed interest in Tuch is not particularly surprising. He is a skilled top-six forward who not only produces well offensively but also has size to go along with it. Because of this, he would be a big-time addition to a playoff team.
However, with Tuch being a major part of their roster and the Sabres looking to improve, trading away the New York native simply would not make sense. He's one of their top forwards, and he is also a key leader for their group. As a result, it is understandable that the Sabres have made it clear that they will not be moving Tuch.
Tuch, 27, has appeared in 44 games this season with the Sabres, where he has 14 goals to go along with 34 points.
