A former Sabres goalie is currently being viewed by his opponents as one of the best at his position in the NHL.

Off The Post Questioning The Sabres Developmental Model Of Devon Levi

Goaltending this season has been a weak point for the Buffalo Sabres. While Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen has been a nice bright spot, top prospect Devon Levi has struggled. Meanwhile, Eric Comrie's season has been disastrous.

However, former Sabres netminder Linus Ullmark is certainly not having much trouble. While he has not been as dominant as he was during his historic 2022-23 season, he is still playing quite well. In 24 appearances, he sports a 15-6-2 record to go along with a 2.78 GAA and a .915 SV%. Clearly, his play has gotten the attention of his opponents, too.

The Athletic recently released the results of an anonymous player poll, and Ullmark finished tied for 10th with Jordan Binnington, Jake Oettinger, and Adin Hill for this question: "Who is the best goalie in the league?" There were 183 votes in total.

Given how well Ullmark has played over the last two seasons with the Bruins, it is understandable that some in the NHL view him as the best goalie in the league. This opinion will only increase if he finds more of the magic he had last season for the 65-win Bruins.

Man, the Sabres could surely use him right now.
