The Calgary Flames may be in the middle of their offseason, but that doesn’t mean their social feeds have gone quiet.

From new four-legged teammates to tropical getaways, family vacations and a few major life milestones, Flames players have been making the most of the summer before hockey season comes back around.

Here’s a look at what some of the Flames have been up to away from the rink.

Devin Cooley: Meet Tito

Devin Cooley has found a pretty unique way to spend the summer.

The Flames goaltender introduced fans to Tito, his pet bunny, and the two have already been spotted out for a stroll. Yes, Tito rides in a stroller. No, we’re not entirely sure who is more excited about it.

Either way, it’s a pretty good look for the offseason.

Mikael Backlund: Swedish Summer

While Calgary’s captain gets ready for another season, Mikael Backlund has been spending some quality time back home in Sweden with Frida and the kids.

A little sunshine, some family time and a break from the rink: not a bad way to spend the summer for the veteran forward.

Backlund will be back in Calgary soon enough. For now, Sweden has the captain.

Samuel Honzek: New Best Friend

Samuel Honzek added a new member to the family this summer.

The young Flames forward showed off his new puppy on social media, and judging by the photos, the two are already inseparable.

Training camp is still a few weeks away, so there’s plenty of time for Honzek to enjoy the new company before the hockey schedule takes over again.

Simon Nemec: Four-Legged Training Partner

Simon Nemec is getting ready for his first season with the Flames, but apparently his offseason training program includes some time with a particularly enthusiastic four-legged partner.

The defenceman shared some puppy time on social media, providing a pretty good reminder that not all offseason training has to happen in a gym.

Nemec will have plenty of time to work on his skating once camp opens. For now, the puppy gets the ice.

Yegor Sharangovich: Paradise Found

Yegor Sharangovich took the offseason somewhere considerably warmer than Calgary.

The Flames forward spent some time in the Seychelles, trading the rink for sand, sunshine and some impressive scenery, maybe even a close encounter with giant sea turtles!

It’s hard to blame him. Hockey season is a grind. The Seychelles look like a pretty good place to recharge before it starts all over again.

Sam Morton: A Summer to Remember

For Sam Morton, this offseason came with a pretty significant milestone.

The Flames forward tied the knot with Ellie, celebrating their wedding this summer.

After making his NHL debut last season, Morton now has another big moment to look back on before heading into his next season with the Flames.

Not a bad offseason at all.

The hockey is coming. Until then, there’s still a slice of summer left for the Flames to enjoy.
