Carolina Hurricanes netminder Antti Raanta has cleared waivers and has subsequently been reassigned to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.

The Finnish netminder was placed on waivers Saturday following a  6-5 overtime loss to the Nashville Predators Friday night.

It's been a tough season for the 34-year-old netminder who in 14 games this season, has a 6-5-1 record with a 0.854 save percentage and 3.61 goals against average, and had lost his last five starts in a row.

Hopefully a bit of time down in the AHL can help him refocus and find his game.
