Well it seems like Carolina Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon is making another big foray into the sports world.
Dundon, who purchased a majority stake in the Canes in 2018 for $425 million, has reportedly agreed to buy the Portland Trail Blazers for $4 billion.
The Texas billionaire is growing quite the big sports portfolio as he is also the majority owner of the PPA Tour and Major League Pickleball. He was also a minority owner in the now defunct Alliance for American Football.
Dundon has overseen the reinvigoration of the Hurricanes as not only a powerhouse team in the NHL, but also as a top market too.
While many around the league have stated that Dundon is unorthodox in his methods and involvement on top of being a hardline negotiator, it's obvious that he's also been a big reason why the team has as found as much success as it has.
Dundon has also overseen the signing of a 20-year lease agreement to keep the Hurricanes at Lenovo Center as well as a nearly $1 billion arena and local area upgrade.
