The Carolina Hurricanes have re-signed forward Noel Gunler to a one-year, two-way contract.

Gunler, 23, was drafted in the second round of the 2020 draft, 41st overall.

The Swedish winger is heading into his fourth North American season, last year having 13 goals and 26 points in 58 AHL games.

The 6-foot-2 winger hasn't been able to find a ton of consistent offense in the American League yet, but last year definitely saw an overall improvement for himself.

It's also important to note that he lost a year of focused development in 2023-24 when the Canes did not have an AHL affiliate and he would up playing in Finland.
