Sebastian Aho Named 2024 All-Star

What - Game 41 (22-13-5)
When - 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 11
Where - PNC Arena; Raleigh, NC
How to Watch - Bally Sports South

The Carolina Hurricanes will take the ice for their first game in four days as they host the Anaheim Ducks (14-25-1).

The Canes, who have points in 12 of their last 13 games, are coming off of a 2-1 shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday.

Carolina is anticipating having some reinforcements too as Jesper Fast is expected to return to action after missing the last three games due to an UBI. Martin Necas remains a game-time decision.

In net will be Pyotr Kochetkov who has one career start against the Ducks.

He suffered a 4-3 OT loss to Anaheim on Dec. 6 2022, stopping 26 of the 30 shots he faced.

Anaheim will enter the contest having defeated the Nashville Predators 5-3 Tuesday night to snap a five game losing streak.

It's been tough sledding for this young Anaheim squad who are still learning how to win in the NHL.

Things will be made even harder for them by the loss of Trevor Zegras to injury and the trading of defenseman Jamie Drysdale.

However with the talent of Frank Vatrano, Troy Terry, Mason McTavish and Pavel Mintyukov, they still have some offensive firepower to keep track of.

Anaheim has also gotten solid goaltending out of the tandem of John Gibson and Lukas Dostal despite the defensive play of the rest of the team.
