It has been a strong start to the post-season for the Carolina Hurricanes. They currently have a commanding 3-1 series lead over the New Jersey Devils and need to win only one more game to advance to the second round.

The Hurricanes are not slowing down, either, as they just defeated the Devils by a 5-2 final score in Game 4 on April 27. Overall, it was another strong game for the Hurricanes, and rookie Jackson Blake played a significant part in it.

Blake put together an impressive performance for the Canes in Game 4, as he recorded two assists in the contest. With this, the 21-year-old forward now has three assists in four games this post-season.

Seeing a youngster like Blake making an impact for the Hurricanes this post-season is incredibly encouraging. The Hurricanes already have plenty of talent on their roster, but Blake breaking out during the playoffs would only make them an even more challenging team for opponents to face.

Blake showed great promise during this regular-season, too. In 80 games, the 2021 fourth-round pick had 17 goals, 17 assists, 34 points, and a plus-10 rating. Overall, he gave the Hurricanes solid secondary offensive production, and it is now translating over to the playoffs.

It will be fascinating to see how Blake builds off his two-assist performance for the Hurricanes from here. So far, it is hard not to be impressed by what he is currently providing.
