Carolina Hurricanes center Mark Jankowski will be a game-time decision for Game 2 according to coach Rod Brind'Amour.

"He'll probably be a game-time decision," Brind'Amour said on Wednesday. "I think he's definitely better today. Another day tomorrow and then we'll see."

Jankowski left Game 1 early (his last shift was just 19 seconds and ended with 4:42 remaining in the second period) with an undisclosed injury.

While it wasn't clear what affected the 6-foot-4 forward, Brind'Amour stated after the game that he didn't think it was anything serious.

"He just didn't feel great," Brind'Amour said. "I don't think it's too serious, but obviously it was enough that he couldn't play. Both teams are deep though and I think, at this time of year, you have to rely on everybody, so that put us in a bit of a hole. So I'm glad the game didn't go too much longer."

Jankowski, 30, has made quite the impact with Carolina since joining the team at the trade deadline, finishing out the regular season with eight goals in 19 games.

He started the postseason as a healthy scratch, but played the final two games of the Hurricanes' first-round series, picking up a point.

If he can't go, Jack Roslovic (who played in the first three games of the postseason) is expected to draw back in.
