Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin was one of 44 NHL players invited to the U.S. Men's Ice Hockey Olympic Orientation Camp.

The camp will be held Aug. 26-27 in Plymouth, Michigan and will largely be an "administrative and team-building event and includes no formal on-ice activity or public component."

Slavin was one of 23 players who were part of the U.S.'s 4 Nations Face-Off team that won silver this past February.

The veteran defenseman was widely praised for his stellar performances at the tournament, where he was routinely one of the most impactful players on the ice and a top leader in TOI.

Along with Slavin, former Hurricanes Adam Fox, Noah Hanifin, Brett Pesce, Brady Skjei, Jake Guentzel and Vincent Trocheck were also invited to the camp.

The 2026 Winter Olympics will be held Feb. 6-22, 2026 in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy and the final 25-man roster for the event is expected to be announced in early January.
