Jarvis joins Hurricanes legends, securing his third consecutive 30-goal season. His consistent elite scoring solidifies his place in franchise history.

Carolina Hurricanes defeat New Jersey Devils 5-2

Seth Jarvis continues to cement himself as one of the Carolina Hurricanes' top goal scorers.

The 24-year-old winger reached the 30-goal milestone for the third straight season, netting a shorthanded empty-netter last night against the New Jersey Devils.

Jarvis  became the sixth player in franchise history to score 30 goals in three straight seasons, joining Eric Staal, Blaine Stoughton, Sebastian Aho, Jeff O'Neill and Sylvain Turgeon.

He's also just the fourth player in franchise history to reach that milestone at 24 years or younger.

"I'm happy for him," said Carolina coach Rod Brind'Amour. "It's not easy to do that in this league. It really goes back to the consistency that he plays with every night. That gives you the chance to put up numbers like that and obviously you have to be a skilled player and we know that he is."

Jarvis has come a long way from rebuilding his game in his sophomore season, a year where he had just 14 goals and 39 points, to being a night in and night out producer for the Canes.

"He's a very competitive kid and he pushes himself," Brind'Amour said. "He demands a lot out of himself and you can see it in how he plays. Whether he scores 30 or none, he's gonna keep trying. If he scores three in a game, he's trying to get that fourth one. If he goes five or six games without one, it's still the same effort level. That's what he's all about."
