Nathan MacKinnon Passes Joe Sakic for Most Goals in Avalanche History

With his goal against the Florida Panthers, Nathan MacKinnon passes Joe Sakic for most goals in Colorado Avalanche history with 392. It was also his 25th goal of the season; he is the first skater to reach 25 goals and leads all skaters in goals.

MacKinnon has been on another level this season, helping the Avalanche get to where they are so far. With 25 goals and 28 assists for 53 and counting, MacKinnon leads all skaters in goals and points while being tied for third in assists to start the season.

Though MacKinnon still has ways to go to become the franchise scoring leader in franchise history, including the Quebec Nordiques relocation. That is still held by Sakic (625), and the second is Michel Goulet (456).
