The Columbus Blue Jackets announced a roster move yesterday that slipped through the cracks on many fans' social media feeds.
They have recalled Luca Del Bel Belluz on an emergency basis. In a corresponding move, they placed Mathieu Olivier on injured reserve (IR) retroactive to November 24. Olivier is out of the lineup with an upper body injury that he suffered against the Washington Capitals.
Del Bel Belluz, 22, now rejoins the Blue Jackets and looks to make the most of the new opportunity.
In seven games this season at the NHL level, he has recorded just one assist. However, at the AHL level, he has 11 points in 11 games.
Up Next: The Jackets are back at home on Thursday to face the Detroit Red Wings.
